make-3.81 is not in stable. use a stable version of make and see if it works. there are certainly plenty of packages in stable which break with that. if you're upgrading an old stable system, try upgrading the other system packages too to see if it makes a difference. you should also post the full build log as an attachment and not just a snippet. (In reply to comment #1) > make-3.81 is not in stable. use a stable version of make and see if it works. Not sure I understand. Make is showing as marked as stable on my system. Plus the alternative 3.82 is masked. See below... [U] sys-devel/make Available versions: 3.80-r4 3.81 ~3.81-r1 3.81-r2 ~3.82 {nls static} Installed versions: 3.81(02:24:06 12/09/07)(nls -static) Homepage: http://www.gnu.org/software/make/make.html Description: Standard tool to compile source trees I can switch to 3.82 and see if this helps. sys-devel/make-3.81-r2 is the latest stable. Try emerge -uD system - sys-libs/glibc should be one of the last packages that would be built. Reopen this bug report if glibc still fails with the same error(s) after the rest of the system target is up to date. Meanwhile, there is no bug to fix. |
