Has the files that has been downloaded in the linux-firmware ebuild but as stated by the Debian community, is non free... you might like to have a look.


I think it will be a good idea to remove all the firmware blobs from portage that can be made from the kernel sources since we expect Gentoo users to compile their own kernel. What should be placed in Portage is firmware which's not included in the kernel sources.
