Which version of mysql do you have installed? Which USE flags? I tried with # emerge -pv mysql These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild R ] dev-db/mysql-5.5.6_rc USE="community extraengine perl profiling ssl -big-tables -cluster -debug -embedded -latin1 -max-idx-128 -minimal -pbxt (-selinux) -static -test -xtradb" 0 kB [?=>1] Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB Portage tree and overlays: [0] /usr/portage [1] /usr/local/portage the ebuild was from http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338818 I'm not sure if mysql-workbench is already meant to be compatible with this version of mysql. It would be great if you could try to find out and file an upstream bug otherwise. I've just verified that mysql-workbench-5.2.40 compiles fine with mysql 5.5.20. |
