Bug 343615 – net-im/pidgin-2.7.2 fails to compile

I've just opened another bug about libnice that fails to compile..
adding -gstreamer to pidgin's use flags removes libnice dependency...

i'm using this use flags for pidgin:

unfortunately compilation of pidgin fails with this error:

since I do not know the -R option i'm filling this bugreport.. please remove the bug if this some kind of my mistake :)

We need to find out where the -R comes from.  It's an ELF-linker command, that is not necessary on Darwin in general.  In your explorations you can safely remove it to see if that gets you further.

ok! i'll try to manually edit the ebuild to remove the -R and see how far the compile goes... i'll let you know! :)

pardon my noobness.. how should I remove the -R flag..

stopping the emerge end editing the working dir of the emerge didn't worked

can you give me any hint or point me to a place where to learn something useful? :)

when you've the time.. it's not urgent of course...
