I've managed to compile wmii but in a real ugly way.. help is really appreciated :) http://tiledcoding.blogspot.com/2010/10/gentoo-on-macbook-air-2gen-wmii-on-x11.html oh, ok, so we need a proper patch http://code.google.com/p/wmii/issues/detail?id=89 gives some hints, but we can't/won't use the fixed paths, so it'll be a bit different. thank you! I'll update the blog post soon to add other info about what i had to do to make it work completely.. and if is useful I'll let you know... in the meanwhile.. thanks! |
I've unmasked the wmii wm so I now that it could be possible that it wasn't working :) I hope it's ok if I signal here my error... Wmii compilation fails this way: ... MAKE all cmd/menu/ CC cmd/menu/main.o cmd/menu/main.c:250: error: ‘strncasecmp’ undeclared make[2]: *** [main.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [dall] Error 2 make: *** [dall] Error 2 emake failed I've just installed gentoo prefix on a macbook air with OS X snow leopard... gcc -v is gcc version 4.2.1 (Gentoo 4.2.1_p5664, Apple Inc. build 5664) Hope that I've filled up the bugreport correctly p.s: First time on a mac for me.. I was missing gentoo after the first 5 mins.. so thank you guys for this project!
