Every time I burn a CD with app-cdr/cdrtools-2.01_alpha14, cdrecord says: Fixating... cdrecord: Cannot fixate disk. With app-cdr/cdrtools-1.11.40 it works fine. On the other hand you can test, if cdrecord would work with a SCSI-emulation in opposition to ATAPI. This is unstable and testing stuff, and may not work with every recorder (especially the old ones). A SCSI-emulation is still the recommended way for cdrecord. When forcing cdrecord to use ide-scsi instead of ATAPI, I can at least blank a CD-RW again now. Will try newer cdrecord versions the next time I encounter a problem. I masked cdrecord-2.01-alpha23 stable now. You should test this one. Please report your results. No info given. Just closing. |
