Description Ian Truelsen 2003-11-24 00:16:44 UTC
When I upgraded from 0.5.19 to 0.5.21 I noted that the tv_grab_na listing
generator, when checking for the version would suggest that I upgrade to 0.5.21
which was what was installed. I assumed that it was a glitch and left it alone.
However, a change to the zap2it site caused tv_grab_na to break which required
me to upgrade to 0.5.23 to fix. I did this, as suggested in another bug by
copying the 0.5.21 ebuild to 0.5.23 and then resetting the digest. This worked
properly, downloading 0.5.23 from the sourceforge site and ostensibly installing
the 0.5.23 files. However, in checking for listings, tv_grab_na was still broken.

Remembering the old glitch in reported version numbers, I tried to install the
software manually. After the manual install, tv_grab_na works and reports that
it is the newest version. This leads me to believe that the xmltv ebuild is not
properly installing the files. They all seem to be installed in /usr/bin. In
searching through the various files, I could not locate a version number which
relates to the main versioning info, so I cannot confirm this observation by
this route, however I will endeavour to help with any suggestions that you might
have.

In order to preserve something, I only installed the newest version of
tv_grab_na manually. All of the other grabbers should be whatever the ebuild
produced.
