Description Quetzaly Solano Gómez 2010-10-17 02:12:14 UTC
The ekeyd program has the option of creating a TCP socket to which it will write entropy using the egd protocol. On Linux machines, another program, 'ekey-egd-linux', can be used to connect to the socket and replenish the kernel's entropy. This allows one EntropyKey to feed multiple hosts/kernels.

The default make file builds this program but does not install it. The patch I am submitting will install the ekey-egd-linux program and man page on Linux systems. It also inserts an associated init script and configuration file.

This patch also helps simplify the ebuild with respect to the issue of the automatically zipped man pages. Instead of relying on sed and doman, it sets the MANZCMD and MANZEXT variables so that the man pages are not zipped.

I'm going to add it as a separate package, rather.

And doman is a good choice, I prefer using that than leaving it to make install.
