The current stable baselayout does not provide correct information or instructions or a working global XSESSION setting; this is fixed in  baselayout-1.12.14.  In order to get this to everyone (so that people who have XSESSION set in /etc/rc.conf move to setting it in /etc/env.d/90xsession and stop filing bugs about XSESSION not working), could this version of baselayout-1 be stabilized asap please?

The only outstanding bug, bug 338953 , has two resolutions in it already and at easiest case could be closed with a simple pkg_postinst message, so it doesn't really require testing.
