Description Josh Grebe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-21 15:59:15 UTC
gcc bombs while compiling with -j5. Works fine when forced to -j1.
Comment 1 Josh Grebe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-21 16:15:34 UTC
This also happens on the "stable for x86" version, 6.2.3. Also works fine with -j1.
Also, it installed a program (fetchmailconf) that requires tk and python's tk module, neither of which are installed, and I don't have tk in my use. Bad fetchmail, no cookie.

Comment 2 Sven Blumenstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-30 06:46:50 UTC
Cant reproduce here. Both 5.9.14 and 6.2.3 compiled fine with -j5 and even with -j50.

Please post the output of 'emerge info'.
Comment 3 Jason Wever (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-30 06:51:44 UTC
Sorry, squash and I forgot to add more info.

This only seems to happen when the nls useflag is set, otherwise it works fine.
Comment 4 Sven Blumenstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-01 04:21:47 UTC
Ah this is squash :)

Ok, lemme try with USE=nls

If it breaks we may just filter the MAKEOPTS on sparc platform...
Comment 5 Sven Blumenstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-02 04:00:20 UTC
Works for me. USE='nls'. Tried with -j5, -j50 and -j100 :)
Comment 6 Josh Grebe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-15 14:12:29 UTC
Fixed in 6.2.5
