Description Serkan Kaba (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-11 10:08:52 UTC
libnotify is now developed under gnome umbrella. Please bump to 0.5.0. Note that 0.5.1 is logically a 0.6.0 requiring gtk-3. See https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=623718.
Comment 1 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-11 10:16:02 UTC
this is not a good idea at this point (even for 0.5.0). It does crazy magic wrt gtk-2.0/gtk-3.0 and I haven't had the time to test it yet
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-12-22 16:09:08 UTC
0.5 is the version we need if someone still wants a bump for gtk+:2 only however, nothing I know has a use for it. Will probably have to wait for 0.7 to stabilize but it breaks API and nothing builds against it for now.
Comment 3 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-01-19 15:06:42 UTC
I think I'll commit 0.5.2 to the tree since it does not break anything afaics and add 0.7 masked for api breaks tests purpose by other devs.

+ Version bump. 0.5 for last of gtk+:2 only release and 0.7 for testing API
+ breakages, bug #340501. Add knotify to PDEPEND, bug #323593.

Tests look broken the way they are built for 0.7, I'll fix them in a second
pass unless someone beats me to it.
