Description marc baier 2010-10-06 18:57:02 UTC
hi,

yesterday i installed gentoo on my machine. now i have some weird problems.

the first thing is that gnomecc.menu is missing. so i tried to re-emerge gnome-control-center. the build fails, log is attached.

also i can't change desktop background. if i right click and select "Change desktop background" nothing happens. i don't think that has something to do with control-center, it's just some other thing that isn't working.

every time i emerge a packet, the following message appears twice:

portage: COUNTER for gnome-base/gnome-control-center-2.30.1 was corrupted; resetting to value of 0

please tell me if i should provide more information.

thanks.

Reproducible: Always
