If I understand correctly there is a simple fix for this problem, see [1]. The gdk_string_width type mismatch is due to the migration to PangoFont from GtkFont, and gkrellm provides a wrapper function (gkrellm_gdk_string_width) to fix the problem. This plugin has recently been resurrected by a new maintainer, and I've opened an upstream today [3]. I've been using this plug-in for many years and it's really good, so please hold on to this for a bit while it gets fixed. I am happy to proxy maintain if necessary. I'm still technically the maintainer for these things, but a bit short on time these days, so any help you can lend would be appreciated! If you post an updated ebuild I'd be happy to throw it in the tree. The package was removed from the tree. |
