Hi Ok, situation starts: emerge opera-7.22 there are piece of code which checks is openmotfi installed or not, and if not, then skip the installation of operamotifwrapper # install correct motifwrapper if has_version '=x11-libs/openmotif-2.2*'; then rm ${D}/opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper cp ${S}/plugins/operamotifwrapper-3 ${D}/opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins fi Problem ------------- In this sequence: - user installs Opera - user installs Openmotif result will be bad: everything installeed, but you will not receive any warnings. Just clean empty screens with openmotif. Solution ------------ At my opinion, installed with or without openmotifwrapper file - there are no big difference. But if installed without the file you run into problems later, which are difficult to determine. I have spent many hours trying to find out what is wrong until received the solution from one of opera fans. Please chech this URL: http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=372051#post372051 At any case it is nonsense for me to delete the file which comes into standard installation of some software.
