actually, depends is :

DEPEND="=dev-cpp/gtkmm-1.2*"

which means gtk 1.2 too

but configure works well without gtk1 :

so, it should work well with dev-cpp/gtkmm 2.2.* 

plus, v3.2.0 just went out (i tested 3.2.0 configure but did not test 3.0.0 but i suppose changes like support for gtk2 went with a major revision)

assign to the correct (or a new ?) maintainer please, not gnome.

Please, do _not_ assign bugs directly to team if you are not 100% where they should go. This is not a gnome package.

And a very quick look on the news page of dasher shows me that 3.0.1 had the first experimental support for gtk2 and 3.0.2 has matured support for it. Do not assume things when you file bugs, try to get them as right as possible.
