The currently stable version of fox (1.6.36) is failing during src_install due to an upstream bug. While working around that is possible, I'd prefer updating to a new and improved upstream version. I've uploaded 1.6.40 and would like to go stable with that.

You can test the library via its RRDEPENDs, including app-editors/adie or media-video/goggles. Installing and running them should be fine.
