Description Artem Kuznetsov 2010-09-19 18:08:48 UTC
The same thing here.
I've tried to install openvz-kernel on my test vmware-host and got kernel panic almost immediately. I tried all openvz-kernels that are available in Gentoo repo.
The screenshot with kernel's panic message and my system's info is in the attachment.

Thank you for report, Artem. Please answer following questions:
1. Put System.map into side by side with kernel, so we could see function names instead of numbers. After that attach screenshot's for both kernels.
2. Attach kernel.log

After you do above, try to boot with preemption disabled.
