The sys-apps/reiserfsprogs does not exist. 

Page 16 of the install instructions PDF
The line # emerge -k sys-apps/reiserfsprogs
is incorrect the proper line would be 
# emerge -k sys-fs/reiserfsprogs

the line # emerge -k sys-apps/reiserfsprogs
is incorrect the proper line would be 
# emerg -k sys-fs/reiserfsprogs

I dont konw about the other tool packs you should prob check them for accuracy 
aswell
Actual Results:  
Emerge said that it could not find the proper unmasked entry

Expected Results:  
emerge should have downloaded the reiserfsprogs

proper line would be 
# emerge -k sys-fs/reiserfsprogs

The online installation guide has already been fixed with this issue, as is the online gentoo handbook.
