Start virtual machine with -vga:

qemu-kvm -vga vmware ... -> after short time CPU 100%



Reproducible: Always



Expected Results:  
Install x11-drivers/xf86-video-vmware-11.0.2. All be ok.

Are you trying to run kvm under vmware? Which vmware product and version?
