Bug 337383 – Xfce 4.7 loads slowly, and does not show a splash screen

Xfce 4.6 used to load nearly instantaneously, however, 4.7 takes several seconds to load.

If I run startx, it shows a black screen with the mouse cursor. After that, it
loads the full desktop. Changing the splash screen to see at what point it gets stuck does not work (no splashscreen is shown.)

This also happens with the configuration (~/.config/xfce4 and ~/.config/xfce4-session) removed.

It also prints out a lot of errors and warnings. The output of "startx" is attached.

Session information is stored in the ~/.cache/sessions folder. You could try clearing that too.
