My wireless setup broke as well when I upgraded to pcmcia-cs 3.2.4. I just now fixed the problem. The problem I had was that the computer would lock up requiring a hard reset everytime I plugged in my pcmcia wireless card. I was reading the forums today and came across a mention of commenting out a memory address range in /etc/pcmcia/<something>. I found that /etc/pcmcia/config.opts contains three memory ranges. The line in question are: include memory 0xc0000-0xfffff include memory 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff, memory 0x60000000-0x60ffffff I systematically commented out each memory range in question and I find that the following works: include memory 0xc0000-0xfffff #include memory 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff include memory 0x60000000-0x60ffffff My computer no longer hangs with garbage on the screen when I plug in my wifi card. In fact I am using the wifi card right now to submit this. |
