There's a new version of the Gnu Scientific Library.
The attached ebuild is line-for-line the same as the 
gsl-1.3 ebuild.  (The filename I assume redirects the 
SRC_URI to the right place)
Someone who knows what they're doing might want to 
update the $Header etc.
It works for me on a P4.
See also bugs 15665 (previous update) and 33059 (current
active bug for GSL).

Please pardon either my ignorance or the spam...  is "test request" asking for the reporter (me) to try it out, or is there a Gentoo QA group it's aimed at?

However it just so happens that our QA teams are mostly composed from users and especially submitters. So, yea, your test report is very welcome and will help to move this ebuild into stable sooner. (although its been over 2 weeks already, so it should be moved given that I did not see recent bugs associeted with it. Nonetheless please test and report ;))

a) gsl-1.4 appears to be marked stable now

b) There's now a 1.5 (bug 56145)
