Hurd? gentoo is already take by a file manager http://freshmeat.net/projects/gentoo/ let drobs sort it out Oh! Really, Gentoo is already something else :-( But what if you port Gentoo Linux to the FreeBSD or Hurd/L4 kernel for example? Will it be called Gentoo Linux/FreeBSD then? maybe it would be okay to rename Gentoo Linux to simply Gentoo/Linux. then the Darwin port can be called Gentoo/Darwin, for instance it seems that the NetBSD port of Gentoo is here! so this is quite an urgent issue... let's call the Linux port Gentoo/Linux, the NetBSD port Gentoo/NetBSD! straightforward, and follows Debian habits. okay? Hmm, I like the last suggestion. And then we have Gentoo/Windows :) closing finally |
