We had this before, and the cause is yet undetermined. I'd say try reinstalling qt? I really have no idea what is causing the prefix to not be set.

Strange. This bug resolved itself for me with the release of the mythtv 0.12. See Bug 29778.
Comment 3 carlos 2003-11-17 10:25:42 UTC
I've reinstalled qt - no change. Is there any information I could supply you that might assist in identifying this issue?
Comment 4 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-17 10:44:32 UTC
reopen
Comment 5 Marius Mauch (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-24 21:45:29 UTC
passing back, as we also don't have any clue about this and it seems to be a problem with the package, not with portage.
Comment 6 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-15 16:02:47 UTC
is this fixed with 0.13 ?
Comment 7 Michael Haverkamp 2003-12-15 17:25:32 UTC
I am having this problem currently with both the 0.12 and 0.13-r1 ebuilds.
Comment 8 Thomas Capricelli 2004-01-22 10:18:50 UTC
i have the exact same problem here with 0.13-r1... can't understand it..
Comment 9 Thomas Capricelli 2004-01-26 15:47:47 UTC
The problem is with qmake. For some reason, all generated Makefile have the absolut path finishing with ../../../../../../
because of that, when it's supposed to be installed in the sandbox, it actually tries to install it on /, hence sandbox is complaining (access violation) and install fails
though i have NO CLUE why it fails at some people, and not at some others..

maybe the qt folks can help out.
