Yup, looks like this 2.6 CD still has the old LVM1 tools on it. Devicemapper seems to be on in the kernel, which is correct for LVM2, but the userland tools are incorrect. The livecd dated 20031120 has lvm2 on it, and it works quite happily for me. LiveCD dated 11-29-2003 cannot setup an LVM device. I'm getting following message: "Incomaptible libdevmapper 1.00.05-ioctl-cvcs and kernel driver" Looks like the userland tools are not ready for the 2.6 kernel series. experimental livecd old bug, reopen if necessary |
