Do you happen to have gtk3 installed from the overlay you use or something like that? If not, I think I need a log with V=1 exported for visible compilation command lines Created attachment 246170 [details]

I suspect something bad happened to my gtk (or cairo)... $ pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0 Package libpng12 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libpng12.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'libpng12', required by 'cairo', not found Though it doesn't explain what gstreamer has to do at all with gtk since it doesn't declare a dependency on it. Automagic dependency? It's automagic for some tests and/or examples building or not building. Not affecting the end result of the installation in any way if the system is in good shape. Yours apparently isn't regarding gtk+, so you should fix that. I'll check later if we already had a bug about useless not installed examples building or not and then close this bug as appropriate (a new bug for examples building or not, and this one as DUP or INVALID). Thanks for the report that reminded of the slight automagic issue that was in my brain but unsure if already tracked in bugzilla or not. I get virtually the same failure building media-libs/gst-plugins-good-0.10.23 on amd64. I've got x11-libs/gtk+-2.91.4 successfully installed, as well as all the other goodies from the gnome overlay. Is this bug still present ? What about gst:1.0 ? Waiting for feedback. |
