I'm picking this up because I've been actually working on this (but tracking 0.7, as 0.6 is ancient and does not support my TV set :( ).

I got some sorta-working ebuilds, I'll see to push them out this weekend.

for the record, I have 0.7.8 in my dev overlay. (layman -a eva). Seems to work fine with gnome-2.30.

Pushed 0.8.2 and 0.9.1 (masked), slightly modified from Gilles' overlay.
