Description
Alex Legler (RETIRED)
![]() ![]() ![]() Taking him over the queue because we will do the recruitment so that Joachim will be our test dummy for for the web app on Gentoo infrastructure. Created attachment 253767 [details]
A simple script to restart rails application running on passenger.
First (and only) parameter is directory of application to restart. It will default to current directory.
It will exit with status 0 and output nothing if everything goes well. It will exit with status 1 and output some message to std error if somethings goes wrong.
Now that we have the thing finally live can you please register at: https://recruiting.gentoo.org/ (In reply to comment #4) > Registered: https://recruiting.gentoo.org/users/6-joachim-bartosik > Ok the plan is that hwoarang will be the recruiter so that we get input from someone else than myself. If you could answer a single question (doesn't even have to be correctly) we could see how that starts to go along. I think a3li should go and mark himself as a mentor now. Ok the web app is now working well enough that we are able to proceed here. What we did: - LDAP - bugzilla - svn/git groups on cvs.gentoo.org - sent you your LDAP/mail password via encrypted mail Todo: - announcement Pending: - IRC cloak Automatic: - gentoo-core What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with your @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forums account) - send yourself mail to check if it works - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located - set gentooIM if you want people to be able to contact you via other means than email - If you want your blog to be syndicated to planet.gentoo.org, check http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/userrel/planet/index.xml - contact trustees@gentoo.org for Foundation membership (optional) (In reply to comment #6) > > Pending: > - IRC cloak > > Automatic: > - gentoo-core > Everything should be in order now so closing. Reopening for becoming a dev with commit rights He is interested in joining to amd64 and gnome teams :) (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #9) > He is interested in joining to amd64 and gnome teams :) Any ETA on the quizzes? (In reply to Markos Chandras from comment #10) > (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #9) > > He is interested in joining to amd64 and gnome teams :) > > Any ETA on the quizzes? He had them prepared, and I thought he sent you to recruiters already :/ I sent them to recruiters@gentoo.org on May 28th, from @gentoo.org address. I resent them just now from another email. (In reply to Joachim Bartosik from comment #12) > I sent them to recruiters@gentoo.org on May 28th, from @gentoo.org address. > I resent them just now from another email. Yeah you did indeed :) You just didn't write a comment in here so I thought you didn't :) I will be your recruiter. Please contact me by IRC or email to schedule the first review session. If you think that recruiters aren't paying attention to this bug at any later point in time, it's your job to ping us on IRC if you don't want any delays. What we did: - cvs groups on cvs.gentoo.org - announcement What you need to do: - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so - If you want your blog to be syndicated to planet.gentoo.org, check http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/userrel/planet/index.xml - contact trustees@gentoo.org for Foundation membership (optional) For the mentor: - You are also responsible for the commits of your recruit during the first month so you should watch the commits of your recruit via gentoo-commits mailing list. Nice :D Only a question regarding reviewing his commmits: as my devaway state, I won't have stable internet connection until September and, then, I am not sure if will be able to follow his commits soon enough, but will try :/ (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #16) > Nice :D > > Only a question regarding reviewing his commmits: as my devaway state, I > won't have stable internet connection until September and, then, I am not > sure if will be able to follow his commits soon enough, but will try :/ Please arrange something with him like pre commit reviews etc. Perhaps someone else from the teams can have a look on it, too. I will try to keep an eye on it but only from the recruiter perspective, meaning I will only shout if something is really worse. Umm, I will try to review commits list every two days or so, letting Joachim start to work (and will try to follow it during next hour days or so as it's the start) - metadatas, projects and bugs cleaned retire then Nothing on planet/universe and no blog. Forums done. Looks like infra still needs to retire him fully as he is still shown in periodical "slacker" reports gitolite done LOG: Running on oystercatcher.gentoo.org for CVS/SVN removal LOG: Removing jbartosik from groups LOG: Running on pigeon.gentoo.org for lists LOG: Removing jbartosik from all lists.
