Bug 332267 – Waiting for uevents to be processed, forever, but system starts

Two servers of mine get stuck on "Waiting for uevents to be processed" seemingly forever, as in I've tried waiting for days.
Strange thing is, the rest of the services start up in the background, and after a while I can log in via ssh, and everything works well.

I'm not sure how to begin debugging this, can udev be made to be more verbose in what's it doing?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
I have no idea what I did. I usually just ssh in, so things could have been like this for a long time before I noticed something.

Actual Results:  
Doesn't get to login prompt.

Expected Results:  
Getting to a login prompt.

Prior to writting this bug report I have done emerge -DuN world; emerge --depclean; emerge -e world; dispath-conf; The problem remains.
