Files reach mirrors sometimes later than the sync; a fix to avoid this problem is in the works but will take a week or so more, so in the mean time when this happens, please bear with us.

You mean it jumped from BACKPORTS 1 to 3 in last 4 days?

I still have the issue:

even after 'emerge --sync'.
