Bug 331127 – x11-base/xorg-server-1.8.2: can't logout from openbox

With xorg-server-1.8.2 I can't logout from openbox. System hangs with an empty screen after all elements (panel etc.) have disappeared. This does not happen with the current stable version (1.7.6). Reboot via terminal works. This Gentoo installation is running as virtual machine under VMware Workstation 7.1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose "Logout" from Openbox via the menu

Actual Results:  
System freeze

Expected Results:  
Logout should work properly

What exactly hangs? Openbox or the X server? Can you get a backtrace of the hanging process?
