Hello Toralf, which (Gentoo Bugzilla reported) bug in 0.6.2. do you refer to? 0.6.3 is in the tree since Jul 1st, no need for an lokal overlay. Please reopen after providing more information. (In reply to comment #1) > 0.6.3 is in the tree since Jul 1st, no need for an lokal overlay. Arrgh, I was confused by equery : tfoerste@n22 ~ $ equery l -p -o knemo * Searching for knemo ... [-P-] [ ] net-misc/knemo-0.6.2:4 [I-O] [ ] net-misc/knemo-0.6.3:4 tfoerste@n22 ~ $ l /usr/portage/net-misc/knemo/ ChangeLog Manifest knemo-0.6.2.ebuild knemo-0.6.3.ebuild metadata.xml Shouldn't that piece list both entries ? (In reply to comment #2) > tfoerste@n22 ~ $ equery l -p -o knemo > * Searching for knemo ... > [-P-] [ ] net-misc/knemo-0.6.2:4 > [I-O] [ ] net-misc/knemo-0.6.3:4 > ... > Shouldn't that piece list both entries ? You meant net-misc/knemo-0.6.3 from overlay and from the tree? I can only see this O - indicating overlay?! I would suggest using `eix` from app-portage/eix (it needs a cache to be updated with `eix-uodate`, archieved by `eix-sync` which does `layman -s`, `emerge --sync`). Michael (In reply to comment #3) > You meant net-misc/knemo-0.6.3 from overlay and from the tree? yes- I had have both. > I would suggest using `eix` from app-portage/eix (it needs a cache to be > updated with `eix-uodate`, archieved by `eix-sync` which does `layman -s`, > `emerge --sync`). So does eix replaces equery ? (In reply to comment #4) > So does eix replaces equery ? No, it's just a different tool with another set of functionality.
