Not much we can do with a binary plugin. I did some tests which let me come to the conclusion that this might be a firefox bug... First, only amd64 is affected, x86 shows streetview just fine. I did some tests on my ~amd64 machine with latest native 64bit flash plugin (www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.0.45.2-r2). The results are that www-client/seamonkey (version 2.0.6 AND 2.1_alpha2) shows streetview whereas firefox/icecat (version 3.6.8) doesn't show streetview. dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.libflashplayer.so;false the plugin is not compatible with this function disable the in about:config then you should be fine. I just tested with ff-3.6.8/xul-1.9.2.8 and www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.0.45.2 As I said previously nothing we can do with a binary plugin. Jory, "resolved invalid" makes it seem like I was wrong to open this bug, is that correct? I'd like to pursue testing this with different configurations. Please let me know if this is inappropriate for a bug report. It seems like it would be useful to have a place to officially track this kind of bug, even though it seems frustratingly out of reach since it involves a closed binary. Lars, the package www-client/firefox-bin is x86 isn't it? -- I have it installed, but it doesn't run streetview. Other flash stuff, eg. youtube works fine. |
