Description Andrew Petersen 2003-11-06 12:44:26 UTC
The computer gets to this:
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno =2

It goes no further and my computer has to be powered down.
It happens whether I choose live or live-safe.
Also I don't have a SCSI device.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot off of the Live CD
2.
3.
Actual Results:
The computer locks up with the kmod error.

Expected Results:
Booted to a command prompt.

My computer is a Powermac G4 Dual 867 DDR
RAM: 1GB
HD: 80GB and 60GB
The 80GB has OS X 10.3 installed on it the 60GB is blank.
No SCSI devices.

I think this is just a variant or duplicate of #20885 and #29624

It seems to be a duplicate of bug 20885 for sure. So just try a LiveCD with a newer kernel.
