I'm wondering whether the configure step could filter out "dummy " or not (pls see attached URL for the original bug report).

If you remove "dummy" from the ebuild, and disable all USE flags, the value of --with-audio= and --with-default-audio= in the ebuild becomes null, that actually makes the other modules automagic...

the ebuild is proper, and the upstream bug looks invalid too
