Description Beau V.C. Bellamy 2010-07-16 04:20:40 UTC
System is a Dell Poweredge 2970 with a 6-core Opteron and 8GB of RAM.

I've attached a serial-over-lan dump of the kernel bootup up to the point where it hangs and the kernel config file. I'm not sure what else would be useful for troubleshooting.

Kernel serial console dump

Collected through IPMI interface, serial-over-lan.

Actually, This isn't a kernel boot problem. It is hanging after it loads the initramfs and attempts to mount root. The serial console wasn't configured for the foreground in the dump so it didn't show anything after the kernel finished initializing.

Reopening to close properly. Assigning to hardened-kernel@gentoo.org.
