Description Nick Ellson 2010-07-14 21:19:36 UTC
I am updating my system and have 2 e-builds left and amavisd-new-2.6.4 is one of them, it starts the build process but hangs with no error at the line below. This is a first for me, and no one else has reported anything, so I bet my system may be at fault and welcome the guidance for what to look for.

See Actual Results:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge amavisd-new
2. Watch the build hang just a few seconds in to the process.
3.

Expected Results:
Build would continue through to completion and then install itself. And again, forgive me if it's my system that is causing this..

Comment 1 Daniel M. Weeks 2010-07-16 15:53:39 UTC
I just tried this with the same use flags (for amavisd-new) on my system and I had no issue. I'm running the same versions of autoconf, etc.
Comment 2 Nick Ellson 2010-07-16 16:03:11 UTC
This may be a problem with my system, spamassassin's spamd crashed and won't start or rebuild but at leat told me that I had massive perl-modules that were missing, so perl-cleaner is sweeping through and found 196 modules that needed to be rebuilt against a new perl I updated. That is halfway through, once that is done and I run revdep-rebuild again to be sure, I will try the ebuild again. For now, suspect it is MY issue, not the amavisd-new e-build.
