When trying to emerge openoffice, I get the following error:

Calculating dependencies  \

!!! Error: couldn't find match for >=sys-devel/gcc-3.0.4-r6 in app-
office/openoffice-1.0.0

Did ran an "emerge rsync" prior to issue the emerge office command

I made some changes to the ebuild for OpenOffice... If you wanna grab a copy of 
it to test out, as I haven't checked it on 3.0.4 yet, feel free. There 
shouldn't be any problems with it.

The reason why you're having the problem is because you have gcc 2.95.3
installed and anything higher then that is masked out in
/usr/portage/profiles/package.mask. Just comment out the mask and it'll work.

Hi, did try the new ebuild, that works.  Before, tried to comment out the mask, 
that did not work.
