Bug 327545 – lxde-base/lxde-common-0.5.0: needs updated /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart or desktop fails to load

After upgrading to x11-misc/pcmanfm-0.9.7-r1, the desktop would not load properly.  No icons or wallpaper appeared.  Instead, a single pcmanfm window appeared.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install lxde-base/lxde-common-0.5.0 and x11-misc/pcmanfm-0.9.7-r1
2. Log in using an LXDE session

Actual Results:  
A single, normal pcmanfm window appears.  The desktop background is black and has no icons.

Expected Results:  
No pcmanfm window should appear (unless it was saved by a previous session).  The desktop background should be the same as I had set it when I last logged out, and the desktop icons should be present.  (In short, pcmanfm should have started as a desktop manager)

I believe this was caused by the fact that the commandline option to start pcmanfm in desktop mode has changed from -d to --desktop.  I noticed that /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart still contains @pcmanfm -d.  It may or may not be relevant that I use gdm.

Editing /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart should get things working properly again.

Sorry, but what is the correct pcmanfm command line now? I've tried `@pcmanfm --desktop -d` and `@pcmanfm --desktop` and while it fixes pcmanfm appearing on login, I don't get my desktop background image. I even rm'ed ~/.config/pcmanfm/* to reset things to their defaults, but no luck.

I use xdm, for whatever that's worth. I'm running on amd64 too.

Swtiched to gdm, no difference. Also stopped display manager and did `startx /usr/bin/startlxde`, no difference. Just wanted to rule that out.

Got it working. Had to change wallpaper mode to something other than the default "Fill with background color only". IMHO it should change that when you set a wallpaper image...

FWIW, I've got this in my /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart:

@xscreensaver -no-splash
@lxpanel --profile LXDE
@pcmanfm --desktop -d
