Did you check config.log already ? (In reply to comment #1) > Did you check config.log already ? > Thanks for the suggestion. This looks suspicious: configure:5688: checking for FOO_GTK configure:5695: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors " gtk+-2.0 " Package libpng12 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libpng12.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'libpng12', required by 'cairo', not found configure:5698: $? = 1 configure:5711: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors " gtk+-2.0 " Package libpng12 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libpng12.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'libpng12', required by 'cairo', not found configure:5714: $? = 1 Package libpng12 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libpng12.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'libpng12', required by 'cairo', not found configure:5741: result: no configure:5754: error: Gtk+ library requirements were not met Looks like something went wrong when upgrading libpng from 1.2 to 1.4 that neither the "fix libtool files" script nor revdep-rebuild caught. That's why the cairo 1.8.8-r1 stabilization was supposed to happen at the same time with libpng 1.4.3... because you need to: emerge -1 pango cairo gtk+ libglade (I've added couple of extra libs to that command just in case.) Reopen if that doesn't solve it for you. |
