Description Arsen Shnurkov 2010-06-29 22:50:33 UTC
Firefox starts only once after upgrade.
When I start it second time - nothing happens. Firefox doesn't start, there is no messages neither on the console nor in /var/log/messages

If I remove files ~/.mozilla/firefox/*/compatibility.ini
then firefox starts, but creates these files and doesn't start second time.

Firefox works, If i start it with firefox --safe-mode and disable plugins.
But I need ViewSourceWith pluging for work with texts...

I am having the same issue with the new mozilla-firefox-3.6.6 when running in a chroot jail; it works o.k. when running unjailed.

I have never had this issue with earlier FFs, either jailed or not.

(maybe related: I am not running dbus in the jail and always compile with -dbus; could the dbus flag be borked?)

This is a widely known issue. For now, check out this extension, which automatically deletes compatibility.ini so you don't have to:
