thanks for helping.
For some reason pkg-config fails to find gtk+-2.0 (you do have it installed, right ?). What does 'pkg-config gtk+-2.0 --modversion' print ? # pkg-config gtk+-2.0 --modversion Package libpng12 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libpng12.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'libpng12', required by 'cairo', not found * media-libs/libpng Latest version available: 1.4.3 Latest version installed: 1.4.3 Size of files: 526 kB Homepage: http://www.libpng.org/ Description: Portable Network Graphics library License: as-is * x11-libs/cairo Latest version available: 1.8.10 Latest version installed: 1.8.10 Size of files: 6,943 kB Homepage: http://cairographics.org/ Description: A vector graphics library with cross-device output support License: || ( LGPL-2.1 MPL-1.1 ) the libpng12 doesn't seems to exists for AMD64 (x86_64), it is ./usr/lib64/libpng.so ./usr/lib64/libpng.la ./usr/lib64/libpng14.a ./usr/lib64/libpng14.la ./usr/lib64/libpng14.so.14 ./usr/lib64/libpng14.so ./usr/lib64/libpng14.so.14.3.0 ./usr/lib64/libpng.a ./usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libpng.pc ./usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libpng14.pc oh I also have this: ./usr/lib64/libpng12.so.0 but no libpng12 by itself, maybe the folder /usr/lib64 isn't part of the PKG_CONFIG_PATH. there is no file named "libpng12.pc" located on my disk. You didn't complete libpng14 upgrade. Check its postint note. ha, there we go... totally sorry for that, will go run revdep-rebuild and follow instruction for libpng14. |
