Methane molecule, input file for mopac
Hi, I'm trying to debug this, but I cannot reproduce your problem. I'm trying with the latest versions of everything. Here is what I did: -) emerge =sci-chemistry/mopac7-1.15 (no USE flags set) -) emerge =sci-libs/libghemical-2.99.1 with USE="mopac7" -) emerge =sci-chemistry/ghemical-2.99.2-r2 -) Start ghemical from a directory where the user can write (since temporary files are created there). -) Place two atoms by pressing d and clicking into the windows. -) Right click->Compute->Setup->all QM->Select the engine class "MOPAC7/MNDO"->OK -) Right click->Compute->Geometry Optimization..->OK Result: Some computation is done, as witnessed on the command line and ghemical behaves normally. Can you try to exactly mimic what I did and see if the problem persists? Thanks. I have to click the draw button to be able to draw. The result is still the same as reported previously. Maybe post your emerge --info, there might be some differences. For the records, here it comes. The obvious difference is that I'm on x86. In the course of stabilization I guess other amd64 people will test. Let's see. $ emerge --info Portage 2.1.8.3 (default/linux/x86/10.0/desktop, gcc-4.4.3, glibc-2.11.2-r0, 2.6.34-gentoo-r1 i686) ================================================================= System bug 325561, bug 331187, bug 331169 and bug 331175 together for stabilization on x86. All these need to be stabilized together as they depend on each other (and building will fail if any is not stabilized). I was able to get them build against each other. I ran ghemical and tested the bug mentioned in bug 324975 (that's this bug). No problems encountered. This bug should be fixed when the bugs mentioned above are marked stable. Can't reproduce it anymore, seems to be working. Tough optimization is giving nonsense structures, but that is another issue. |
