When I follow the gentoo OSX prefix bootstrap guide to bootstrap a 64 bit prefix, emerge fails to emerge gcc-apple-4.2.1_p5647 (emerge --oneshot --nodeps gcc-apple).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Bootstrap Gentoo 64bit OSX prefix
2. Follow the guide untill emerge --oneshot --nodeps gcc-apple
3.




I have a dylib1.o file with the symbol:

$ nm -arch x86_64 /usr/lib/dylib1.o | grep dyld_stub_binding_helper
0000000000000000 T dyld_stub_binding_helper

using OSX 10.6.3, Xcode 3.2.2 and CHOST="x86_64-apple-darwin10"

please emerge --oneshot --nodeps binutils-apple and try gcc-apple again

seems like that solved the problem, gcc-apple is compiling. Probably the doc at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gentoo-alt/prefix/bootstrap-macos.xml should be updated. Thanks.

+1, if it wasn't for this bug report, someone could get stuck out there..

I made a remark about this in the bootstrap document.  I hope that is enough.
