This is my modified make.conf file
your hardware ok? Well, considering I had been running RH, I think my hardware is decent. There are a few things wrong with the mobo (PS/2 ports are non-functional and the clock batter holder isn't electrically connected to the board, but that's it) but nothing that should interfere with compiling software. The drive I'm using is an Western Digital 8GB that I did a low level format on a couple of weeks back. segfaults usually mean that you have some bad parts. make sure that you are not overheating, and that your ram and proc are ok. Check your ram using a new gentoo livecd that has memtest86 on it. |
