Description Attila Stehr 2010-06-14 14:59:02 UTC
calling the URL I get:

"Gone

The requested resource
/pengupop
is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource."

When I try to access the folder containing the sources (stated /files in the ebuild) I receive an access error (forbidden).

I wrote an email to the devs about this just a few moments ago (/contact is still reachable). Lets see. :)

Don't cc random developers on the bug just because they appear last in the ChangeLog file, bug-wranglers will assign anyway. Check metadata.xml...
Comment 2 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-14 17:18:47 UTC
fixed.
Comment 3 Attila Stehr 2010-06-18 08:48:17 UTC
Looks like there are more recent packages available than on the freshmeat page which only supplies 2.2.2.
The portage tree contains 2.2.5 ATM.
And for example http://www.brothersoft.com/games/pengupop-for-linux-download.html provides version 2.2.6!
What can be done here?

btw:
Pity! This is the reply from Morten Hustveit (one of the devs):

No, everything is going away forever. I have decided to focus on other things.

It's not that interesting. The freshmeat page is good enough. The HOMEPAGE variable is really just a nice bit of information in the ebuild, it doesn't really matter to the installation of the package.
