I don't know if we can help you. As a starter, which video driver do you use? Does it also crash if you use the keyboard (arrow keys) to scroll? Or the scrollbar. The cursor works at a different level and is mainly implemented by your graphics board, that's why it still works. Further I see that you use the "-ffast-math" compilation flag. Please be advised that compiling with this flag will result in incorrect calculations and can cause programs to break. It is not advisable to use this flag as default flag ever. It should only be used on a program by program basis. If you are using Nvidia drivers, please update the driver to 1.0-4496. You can use nvidia-installer --update to automatically install the new nvidia driver. Once the new driver is in place, it resolves the problem. But this applies only to nVidia graphic cards. You should use emerge and not the nvidia-installer (to keep things in portage), but indeed update if you use nvidia drivers. You may try the new unstable nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx, as I updated the tarballs being used (or .pkg then). Is this bug still valid? If no further feedback is provide I think we should close it. Maciej mailed me, that he can't reproduce it anymore, so closing this bug |
