Description Ramon 2010-06-13 20:57:36 UTC
Bumped to 0.8.0, works for me on prefix-x86-macos.
I'll test with gentoo-x86 on amd64 when I get to work on monday

I needed/wanted this bump because I'm interested in aruba, the commandline testing gem for cucumber

Reproducible: Always

Running self test features on cucumber-0.8.0 has failures but seems that the failures are actually normal :)

cucumber 0.8.0 depends on the beta rspec2 to run its tests properly, so I'm going to wait until rspec2 comes out of beta to add this. I'd rather see all those specs and features pass and upstream already indicated that they have no interest in keeping things working with rspec1.

Note that there are also versions of aruba that work with cucumber 0.7.0.

OK, I understand your reasonning, but is bumping dependent on all test succeeding ?
Maybe 0.8.0 can be added in unstable to flush out any other bugs that might exist except for the tests that fail because they lack rspec2 ?

I know, but I found cucumber in the list of ebuild needing a bump on the ruby project page, so I figured I'd do you guys a service :)

Normally, yes. Exceptions depend on the specifics of the failure (e.g. when we know the test itself is broken).

Yes, I guess that could be done in this case. I'll try to look at it when I have some time later this week.

On the wishlist for the bumps page is a way to comment on pending bumps, so I could have noted this status. :-) In any case thanks for the report!

cucumber 0.10.2 is now in the tree (along with the associated gherkin and aruba releases).
