Description Frankiz DANIEL 2010-06-13 16:55:36 UTC
Since today, the mozilla-thunderbird ebuild is discontinuing the lightning use flag (at least for ~x86_64) this is not valid because lightning and gmail connectivity was working just fine, additionally there is no alternative from mozilla extension repository, there is an unsuported lightning module but gdata extension for gmail connectitivity provided with it refuses to load on thunderbird 3.0.4.

the actual situation means users will either have to mask thunderbird 3.0.4 and use unsuported extension from mozilla, or just lose the lightning feature that was working just fine yesterday through the lightning use flag.

The package moved to mail-client/thunderbird.

%% cvs up
%% grep light thunderbird-3.0.4-r1.ebuild
IUSE="alsa ldap crypt bindist lightning mozdom system-sqlite"

I don't see the issue because the USE flag is still present?? Can you explain?
