Bug 322701 – app-emulation/virtualbox-bin-3.2.2 - cannot start VM

I just installed new VirtualBox-bin-3.2.0 (this is now Oracle now :-/)

I've installed Guest Addition but I have no CD or USB devices; it works on my other box on kernel-2.6.31 but on the box with kernel-2.6.30.
Does kernel has anything to do with it?

Upgrading to VirtualBox-bin-3.2.2 gets even worse, it will not start:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine xp.
Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-eth0' (VERR_SUPDRV_INTERFACE_NOT_SUPPORTED).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_SUPDRV_INTERFACE_NOT_SUPPORTED).

Can you please attach the VBox.log file of the affected VM?

I've downgraded to Sun VirtualBox-bin-3.1.8
and Devices: CD's USB is working just fine.

Has Oracle managed to screw it up already; great introduction :-/

That's the wrong log file. We need the one from virtualbox-bin-3.2.2 where startup of your VM fails.

I emerge again VirtualBox-bin-3.2.2 (Oracle) rebooted the box
and I can start Virtual-XP-Session but no Devices, or USB.

It seems to me VirtualBox Guest Addition screw it up.
When I start the XP-session Devices CD appear for only 10-sec. after windows starts and after everything is gone; no Devices no USB
In addition when I "Shut-down" XP VirtualBox does not "PowerOff" virtual session; I have to close "VM VirtualBox" in order to PowerOff a virtual session.

Now virtual-session starts OK but no Devices or USB, do you still need log from:
virtualbox-bin-3.2.2, where is it?

You still didn't attach the correct VBox.log file that I requested.

On a sidenote, would you please be so kind and stop changing the summary again and again? There are reasons I was changing it for the last two times.

Apology about it, I wasn't changing it by purpose. I was composing a reply when you change it; and it ask me something that I've never seen before when I was trying to submit the reply.

I think this is the correct VBox.log.

Please reopen if this is still an issue with latest virtualbox versions in our tree.
